Es el sismo más fuerte que se ha registrado en el país azteca en los últimos 100 años.Un sismo de magnitud 8,2 en la costa del Pacífico mexicano, el mayor en 100 años, dejó al menos 64 muertos en los estados de Oaxaca, Tabasco y Chiapas en la medianoche del jueves, y fue sentido en gran parte del territorio, incluida la capital.
